Both work through contracted event-catering operators, and we have placed chefs and catering assistants on those contracts. Load-in times and specific dock access vary by event, so we brief each chef on venue-entry protocol (vehicle passes, uniform, meal allowance) before the first shift.

Yes. Edgbaston Stadium hosts England Test matches, ODIs, and The Hundred fixtures each summer. Hospitality catering runs across the Edgbaston Suite, 1882 Lounge, and hospitality boxes, with a volume spike that needs 15 to 40 extra agency chefs and catering assistants per match day. Booking lead time of two to four weeks gives us the strongest shortlist. Emergency cover for last-minute sickness on a match day is achievable from the West Midlands bench if we have the brief by 7am.

Yes. The West Midlands has a strong wedding-venue concentration including barn conversions around Warwickshire, country-house hotels across Solihull and Sutton Coldfield, and city-centre function rooms. Most weekends in peak season (May to September) we place event CDPs, production chefs, and catering assistants into wedding venues across the Birmingham catchment. We ask for the menu style (plated three-course, family-style sharing, street-food stations) because it changes the chef shortlist materially.

For a large event (NEC, Resorts World, ICC) two to four weeks of lead time lets us shortlist the strongest bench and confirm uniform, travel, and accommodation if needed. For a mid-size wedding or gala (80 to 250 covers), seven to ten days is comfortable. Emergency sickness cover on a live event is achievable same-day for central Birmingham venues, but we do not promise a 2-hour window because our nearest office is Leicester and travel time matters. All Chefs Bay workers are employed by us on a full PAYE basis, which means public liability and employer liability insurance sits with us, not with the individual chef. Right to Work, Level 2 Food Safety, and allergen training are checked before a chef is added to the bench. Specific venue inductions (NEC dock passes, Edgbaston steward training, ICC fire-route briefing) are completed on arrival and we expect the venue to run the site-specific induction before the chef starts.
